What’s the deal with green drinks?
I mean for real. Everywhere you look, people seem to be either talking about or drinking green drinks.
And, I must admit, I am one of these people. Already this morning I’ve had 2 green drinks…
So what’s the deal? Why so popular? And, can green actually taste good?!
Let me start by sharing with you the foundational reason why I LOVE green drinks = they help to ALKALIZE your body.
Many of the foods we eat are acidic: processed foods, red meat, grains, wine, coffee.
Our bodies are 70-80% water.
If you have ever owned a fish, you know that in order for the fish to live, you must regulate the pH of the water in the fish tank. Just as fish will die, studies show that disease thrives in an acidic environment.
Our bodies are incredibly smart and highly adaptable. We have the ability within us to neutralize and balance our pH level. However, this takes a fair amount of energy from our system, and if we only rely on our body to help bring us back to balance, inevitably, things will begin to get out of whack and not function well.
Here’s where green drinks come in.
Organic green superfoods such as wheatgrass, spirulina, and chlorella are all available in dehydrated powder forms that allow you access to the potent nutrients of the superfoods in a busy work schedule.
What you eat directly affects your sense of vitality.
For me, I have found incorporating at least 1 green drink a day to be the best and most efficient way to ensure I am receiving the proper nutrients my body needs to thrive. And, since all I have to do is scoop some powder, mix it with water, and drink it, I am able to be consistent with consuming my green drinks on the regular. Consistency is key here!
Organic green superfoods are the most efficient way to achieve a steady sense of vitality and energy.
Superfoods are low in calorie, but packed with nutrients. They are a fabulous natural source of energy and fuel. Incorporating not just superfoods, but green superfoods brings this aspect to a whole new level.
Green superfoods such as spirulina, wheatgrass, and chlorella all contain chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the chemical in plants that makes them green and allows them to make energy from sunlight through photosynthesis. The following are potential benefits correlated with chlorophyll:
