As you foam roll, bring affirmations into your practice.
In my book, Radical Embodiment: A Practical Guide to Celebrating the Skin You’re In, I take readers through the 7 main limiting beliefs that I see in my work. I share the affirmation of the limiting belief, teaching readers how to anchor that new belief (the affirmation) into their body.
One way to begin to bring affirmations in your body, to begin to know these true statements from a cellular level, is to recite your affirmations as you foam roll.
Some affirmations to play with:
- I am powerful.
- I am beautiful in my body.
- I am choosing to nourish myself everyday through the food that I eat & the movement that I partake in.
- I am enough.
- I am wanted.
Bring your awareness into your tissue, feel the connection of the foam roller there as the tissue releases. From that connected aware place, repeat your affirmations to yourself.
