Most of us in our modern society that is overridden with excess phone & computer use hold excess tension in our upper back & shoulders.
In the video, I share with you an awareness practice that with time will help your shoulders & neck muscles to relax & release excess tension.
Step 1: Start to bring your breath in the space that is between your shoulder blades & breast bone.
Step 2: Once you’ve found the space with your breath, in walking, see if you can feel how your breast bone & spine move in relationship to each other.
Step 3: Notice if when you have your attention in this space, does this naturally cause your arms to swing a bit more.
With time, this practice will help remind your neck muscles that they don’t have to hold on so tightly to keep the shoulders up. The movement of the natural arm swing will little by little act as a little movement massage to help the neck muscles let go a bit more.
