Rolfing Structural Integration

‘An effective human being is a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.’

~ Ida Rolf

I work with people who are experiencing physical pain & discomfort, whether that be chronic pain or they are not moving as easily as they desire in their favorite activities & movements of daily life. I teach my clients what is happening within their own structure, so that they understand their own habitual posture patterns. They learn the tools they can do on their own to help release excess tension & pain, so that they feel more grounded, strong, & capable in their body.

Rolfing Structural Integration works to allow the body to let go of restrictions that are responsible for causing pain, discomfort, & dysfunction in your body. Through manual hands-on work & movement reeducation, imbalances & non-useful patterns that are deep in the fascia & central nervous system (CNS) of your body are corrected.

In-Person Rolfing Appointments

If you are experiencing physical pain or with issues such as limited range-of-motion, low back pain, shoulder pain, sciatica, scoliosis, poor posture, migraines, and more Rolfing can be of support to you.

Rolfing is a form of holistic bodywork that, through a process of several sessions, allows the body to come back to its natural alignment. Rolfing enables the body to regain its natural, organized, form-restoring freedom of movement, revitalizing energy, and leaving you feeling more comfortable, relaxed and pain free!

I work with a wide-range of clients in my private practice, males and females ages ranging from 9 to 95 years old. I work with Crossfitters, yogis, dancers, musicians, casually active folks, & many others in between. I feel fortunate to be able to work with such a wide diversity of clients.

Emily is one of my favorite people to get treatment from. She is always welcoming, positive, pleasant, and her work is nothing but outstanding. I have seen her for both rolfing and pelvic floor work. She really helped me after I had surgery on my lower abdomen with a c section type incision. My body was really broken down and not functioning fully after my surgery and after a session or two with Emily I could feel my body normalize and move like I knew it should. Highly recommend.

Emily is truly amazing! I honestly love my appointments with her, because I feel like they are so effective AND I feel good during and after each session. I get regular massage as well, but Rolfing is different and so much better. I love how specific it is. Emily has an incredible talent for finding exactly where to work and how to work any particular spot on my body to bring it back to health. Honestly, I could not more strongly encourage anyone to see Emily, for specific issues or just regular 'care for your body' treatments! Before seeing Emily, I was a little bit afraid of Rolfing - years ago, I had some back issues and tried everything except Rolfing, because I had heard it could be painful. I shared this with Emily, when I met her, and she assured me her approach was not that. I gave her a cautious try and have been hooked ever since. I did a 10-series with her and now see her on a semi-regular basis, as I feel the need (no pressure from her, like you might get from a chiropractor, for example). And I honestly feel giddy when I know I have an appointment, because she is that amazing!

I am amazed at what Emily was able to do with me in three sessions. Everything I had ever heard about Rolfing (scary, painful, the worst) was not my experience. This was a wonderful experience and Emily is an AMAZING healer. She is kind, patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, an outstanding listener... I could go on and on.I look forward to working with Emily in the future to continue my journey and keep getting stronger.
