
Getting dressed used to take me oh so long. I would plan extra time in my schedule as I knew I would have to try on multiple outfits before finding one that I believed didn’t make me look fat. I’d obsessively look at myself in the mirror wondering if my stomach stuck out too much. I would only wear about half of the clothes in my closet as I simply felt too fat for the others…
I felt extremely self-conscious and the thought of going out in public brought with it some level of anxiety.
I was insecure in my body.
I was overweight.
I was tired a lot of the time.
Emotionally, I was pretty numb. I suppressed down my feelings of anxiety, loneliness, & insecurity with food & Netflix binges.
I was stuck.
I was afraid to admit this to anyone else.
I was afraid to admit this to myself.
My path from the girl who hid herself in her room with netflix and cookies to now being a proud, confident business owner and local leader has been quite the journey, and is a lifelong ongoing one.
I now:
– am confident, energetic, and have released 20 pounds.
– feel strong physically, mentally, and emotionally.
– focus on choosing foods that nourish me, provide mental clarity, and give me energy.
– am able to push myself in physical activities that I desire.
– have stepped into my own powerful leadership role as a group facilitator, bodyworker, embodiment coach, and public speaker.
There wasn’t that 1 THING that did ‘the trick’ in my transformation journey. It wasn’t 1 INVESTMENT that did the trick. It took me multiple and continuous investments to get where I am today. Some of these included: Rolfing Structural Integration, loads of coaching, the Art of Feminine Presence work, a consistent meditation practice, and multiple personal and professional development trainings that include a year-long Feminine Leadership Mastery Program, Smart Success Academy, Gratitude training, and more.
All of these inputs were useful. They were needed and valuable. However, since they all happened sporadically and at various times, the ability for me to create actual lasting and significant change to get from that stuck, insecure place took a long time.
My own journey and story is what has led me to the work I do today.
I combine:
- my expertise & knowledge of the physical body from my B.S. in Exercise Science & work as a Certified Rolfer
- with the Somatic & Embodiment world, tracking sensations & feelings in the body
- to the coaching world, looking more at habitual thought patterns & goal setting.
This combination of understanding the structural patterns in your own body along with understanding your own habitual thought patterns gives you the power & resource to finally release pain, anxiety, & shame. The unique blend of bringing my body expertise to the coaching world will help you to generate consistent momentum to become the powerful leader you were born to be. This will allow you to stop wasting time and money investing here and there for ‘quick fix’ or temporary solutions.
