Watch the video to learn my favorite tip to get ‘good’ posture, but to do so with ease. Typically, when we try to have good posture, we do so by efforting through our muscles to hold ourselves upright. In the video, I share with you my favorite awareness cue to help you achieve a more upright posture, but to do so with ease.
Throughout your day, check in with your plumb line. Get curious about where your body is at in space in regards to where your line is. Feel the line go down the center of your body from the crown of your head down through the center of your pelvis through your pelvic floor. Imagine a string gently pulling you up from the center of your head, while at the same time, feeling the line ground you from below. Are you able to relax your body around the line? Can you find ease here? Do this in walking, sitting, standing.
Let me know if you try out the practice. I’d love to hear what you noticed in your body.
