
Many people struggle with feelings of insecurity about their bodies, often influenced by external factors such as societal pressures and negative messages from family members. In order to overcome these feelings and cultivate a positive relationship with your body, it is important to shift your focus from external factors to internal ones, and prioritize self-care and self-reflection.
One effective practice for doing so is called “Lovingly Unplug,” (I share this practice in length in my book, Radical Embodiment: A Practical Guide to Celebrate the Skin You’re In) which involves setting aside dedicated time to disconnect from technology and connect with your body and inner self.
By making a habit of prioritizing self-care and self-reflection, you can begin to shift your mindset and cultivate a greater sense of confidence and self-assurance.
